Going to California…

Author: Travis 0 comments
Spring Creek, is going on the road. Don Swanson, the president of Abel Reels, has invited me down to California to film how Abel hand paints their Derek DeYoung Signature Series reels. Abel supports numerous conservation efforts and the Spring Creek film is just one of them. Don Swanson and Abel Reels have been behind the Spring Creek project from the start and Abel is the "Official" reel sponsor to the film. Derek DeYoung is a well know outdoors artist living in Livingston, Montana who will be featured in Spring Creek: Ranchers, Anglers, Water and Trout at Armstrong's Spring Creek. This summer Derek and I plan to shoot a segment for Spring Creek and a short film on Derek himself in and around Livingston. But before that on April 4th, I'll be flying down to LAX and then driving to company headquarters in Camarillo, California to shoot for a week. Of course I'm trememdously excited to tour the Abel Automatics facility.  I'm really looking forward to working with Don and the people at Abel. I'd like to personally thank Don for this tremendous opportunity. More Later T>

In the Back Eddy…..

This week I made a guest appearance on Quinn Grover's In the Back Eddy blog. Quinn and I follow each other on Twitter. Last week,  Quinn PM'd me asking if would mind being interviewed about the Spring Creek project for In the Back Eddy. Since I am usually the one asking the questions I thought it would be a refreshing change of pace to sit back and answer them. Check out the first installment of the interview here. Quinn tells me the second part will be put up this week. More Later T>
