Costa Sponsors Spring Creek….

Author: Travis

Great news today out of Florida, Costa Del Mar Sunglasses have become the latest exclusive sponsor to Spring Creek: Ranchers, Anglers, Water and Trout. Amanda Perryman, Pro and Conservation Leader at Costa called me today to let me know Costa was really excited to be part of the Spring Creek project.  Everyone probably knows that Costa is the title sponsor for the Fly Fishing Film Tour but what they may not know about Costa is their stand on Conservation. Amanda Perryman says "Costa’s main goal is to help ensure sustainable fishing practices so future generations will be able to share and experience the sport of fishing. The biggest gap in reaching the goal of sustainable fishing is the lack of data about fisheries and the species within those fisheries.  Costa is working to aid data collection programs to keep fisheries sustainable. The best way to aid in data collection is through tagging programs.  To name a few programs, Costa is actively involved with Project Permit with the Bonefish Tarpon Trust, to Tag and release Permit, bonefish tagging programs, Billfish Tagging with the Billfish Foundation and the Dolphinfish Research Program to tag and release Mahi around the world."  Costa is also involved with Trout Unlimited.  Visit the Protect Out There portion of the Coasta website and find out more about Costa's efforts at . When you purchase a new piece of gear ask yourself what is this company doing to conserve and protect the resource that we all love. Thanks to everyone at Costa More Later T>
